Becker School District Standards-Based Reporting
Beginning in 2013 - 2014 the Becker School District will utilize a standards based reporting system for the curriculum areas of Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.
While the curriculum covers all the Minnesota Academic Standards curriculum teams have identified the most critical or essential outcomes for each grade level. Beginning in 2013 – 2014 teachers in each grade level will use the same (common) assessments in all classrooms to identify the progress each student is making towards mastering these essential outcomes. Not all outcomes will be reported on in every trimester and some will be reported on in more than one trimester. Students who have not met an outcome during the first trimester of reporting will be given additional opportunity to learn and demonstrate mastery.
