Math
The Intermediate School uses the program Everyday Math. This program focuses on spiraling the content- We learn a new skill as well as reviewing skills we've previously learned. Students will be introduced to skills and problems they may not be expected to master.
- Math Boxes are an important part of this series, as it is a way to show what skills they have mastered and what they need to keep working on. These are not part of their homework.
- Homelinks are a take home piece of this program. They are designed to be completed by the student with or without the help of adults at home. Family letters will precede any homelink to explain to the adult at home which skill is being addressed as well as an answer key to help you assist your child.
- Mental Math and Reflexes incorporate figuring problems in your head and being automatic in your thinking. We do this at the beginning of each lesson.
- Explorations are also a part of this curriculum, providing hands-on activities for students to explore different concepts in a group formation.
