Hi, my name is Stacy Spindler and welcome to my class! I am excited to begin my seventh year teaching here in Becker. I have taught 3rd grade for five years, and Kindergarten for one year. I also enjoy coaching . As a teacher, I am constantly setting goals for myself and my students. I want them to read, write, and complete math problems, but I also want them to become an all-around person. I stress respect of each other and also themselves. Responsibility for themselves and the world around them. I look forward to the moments that my students realize that there is a huge world around them and that they can do amazing things within that world!
I grew up in the small town of Browerville, MN. After high school, I attended the College of St. Benedict and graduated in 2002. My first teaching job was teaching fifth and sixth graders. Then our family made the move to Becker, and I have enjoyed every minute of teaching in the district. I graduated in May, 2014 with my Master's Degree in Education from St. Mary's University.
Currently, I live in Becker with my husband, Randy, and our daughters, Abigail and Alivia. Abigail is in 2nd grade this year. She loves school and always has a smile on her face. Alivia will be 2 the end of September and she is always on the go. It seems as though she learns something new everyday. Since moving to Becker, we have really enjoyed meeting many friends and getting to know the community. It seems like a great place to raise a family. When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing sports, reading, and being outdoors.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you and getting to know your families throughout the school year.
